Eight slices of sourdough bread or Italian crusty bread
100g Perfect Italiano Smooth & Creamy Ricotta
250g Perfect Italiano Mozzarella
100g thinly sliced smoked ham
Two ripe tomatoes, sliced
1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
Two eggs, lightly beaten
1/3 cup milk
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
roasted cherry tomatoes to serve
- Spread Perfect Italiano Ricotta Smooth and creamy on bread. Sandwich Perfect Italiano Mozzarella with ham, tomatoes, basil, and Perfect Italiano Mozzarella on pairs of bread.
- Mix eggs, milk, and seasonings in a shallow bowl. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture and drain off any excess.
- Melt butter on a non-stick frypan. Each sandwich should be cooked for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Warm up the sandwich and serve it with roasted cherry tomatoes.
