How to make a perfect omelet for just one. Once you master this simple technique, you can add whatever fillings you like!
Ingredients:
Basic OmeletteTwo eggs
1/4 cup (60 ml) milk
15 g butter
Filling omelette1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/3 cup sauteed sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup finely chopped flat-leaf parsley, plus extra to serve
Method:
Basic Omelette
- Crack the eggs in a small bowl. Add the milk and season with pepper and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Melt butter in a nonstick saucepan on medium heat. Pour the egg mixture into the pan and swirl it to cover the bottom. After 1 minute, use an egg flip to bring some of the cooked egg toward you. Then, let the remaining uncooked eggs cover the pan. Cook the omelet for two more minutes or until it is almost done. Fold one half over and transfer it to a serving plate. Serve rocket leaves with extra virgin olive oils.
