This is the traditional Scones with Scone recipe we’ve searched for, however, with far less sugar! This recipe yields delicious soft and buttery scones everyone can enjoy, great for breakfast or snacks.
Ingredients:
1 1/3 cups self-raising flour, plus extra for dusting
1½ tbsp Lakanto Monkfruit Golden Sweetener
2 tbsp salt
50g butter, cut into cubes
½ cup milk
One whole egg
¼ cup sultanas
Method:
- The oven should be preheated to 200°F.
- Gently mix flour with salt, butter, salt, as well as golden sweetener until a crumb-like texture has been achieved.
- Make sure the egg is whisked lightly before adding it to the milk. Add it to the milk.
- Add the liquid slowly into the dry ingredient until it gets together; then mix in the sultanas.
- Sprinkle additional flour on the work surface and spread the mix on it. Make a roll with the rolling pin until it is 2 inches in thickness.
- Make use of a cookie cutter to slice the dough into equal portions.
- Place the baking dish on an oven tray greased with oil and bake at 200C to 150C for about 15 mins (fan forcibly).
- Let cool slightly and serve with homemade jam or whipped cream.
