This smokey beans recipe with tomato, chorizo, and other ingredients is a great idea for a weekend brunch or a quick dinner.


2 tsp olive oil

One small onion, finely chopped

Two chorizo sausages, chopped

One garlic clove, crushed

2 tsp smoked paprika

400g can Ardmona Rich & Thick Classic Tomatoes

2 x 400g cans butter beans, drained, rinsed

1/2 cup chicken stock

Chopped chives or parsley and buttered toast to serve


  1. Heat oil in a large, non-stick pan on medium heat. Add the onion, garlic and chorizo. Stirring often, cook for 4-5 mins until the onion is very soft. Add paprika. Cook for 30 seconds.
  2. Add beans, tomatoes, and stock. Covered, simmer on medium-low heat for 10-12 mins until thick. Sprinkle with parsley or chives. Serve with buttered bread.
